How To Complete A Shift From
Start To Finish
Title ==> Your task for this shift. In this case you are in a sub-contractor dump truck.
Date==> Date of shift. The time in parenthesis, ( ), is your approximate arrival to the truck, until the approximate end of the shift time, (4:40 am to 3:00 pm). This means you should arrive at the yard where the truck is located by 4:40 am so that you can begin your pre trip inspection.
Arrival Time ==> “Most Important” This is the time you are to arrive at the job where you will actually be working. It is your responsibility to arrive on time. Do not rely on the app to figure out your drive time or fuel up times etc. If you are late for your arrival time, it is on you, not the app. The app will attempt to figure in your drive time to the job location. Please allow for traffic and road conditions.
Report to Origin again, is the estimated time you should arrive at the truck’s dispatch location to begin your pre trip inspection.
Leave Origin is the suggested time you should be rolling out from the dispatch location. Be Aware– the driving time that the mapping gives you are estimates that would be used when driving a car. Use your experience to adjust your departure time accordingly!
Origin==> Location where you are dispatched from (where your vehicle is physically located)
Type==> What type of task you are assigned to for this shift.
Vehicle==> The vehicle number that you will be operating for this shift.
Notes==> Overall job notes
Dump Site – All of the same descriptions apply for Stop 2, but you must get the foreman’s signature after you are loaded with last load of day and they start signing trucks out.
